Shannon Felker

Chief Financial Officer

My name is Shannon Felker, and service to others has always been a central part of my life.

I serve as Treasurer of 4VALOR, where I oversee budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and long-range fiscal planning in support of our mission to serve veterans and their families. While my path differs from many of the veterans we support, I deeply understand the importance of community, stability, and having people beside you during life’s transitions.

For more than 25 years, I have worked in accounting and financial management across both corporate and small business environments. Early in my career, I spent several years working as an auditor before transitioning into corporate accounting, where I built a strong foundation in financial operations, accountability, and organizational oversight.

Eventually, I launched and operated my own accounting business, providing financial and bookkeeping solutions to a wide variety of clients over the years. Entrepreneurship allowed me to build a career centered around both professional responsibility and family. It gave me the flexibility to be fully present in the lives of my two children throughout their school years, sports activities, and major milestones.

At the same time, I became heavily involved in nonprofit volunteer work through our local school communities, serving for more than a decade as Treasurer for multiple Parent Teacher Associations. Those experiences reinforced the importance of trustworthy leadership, responsible stewardship, and building organizations that genuinely serve people well.

Today, with both of my children now in college, I continue to bring that same dedication, organization, and commitment to service to 4VALOR.

What drew me to 4VALOR was the mission itself: helping veterans and families reconnect with purpose, community, and support after military service. I have seen firsthand how meaningful relationships, structure, and opportunities can positively impact lives, and I believe strong organizations are built not only on passion, but also on accountability, transparency, and people who truly care.

4VALOR represents more than a nonprofit. It represents a community built around service, resilience, and the belief that no one should have to navigate life’s challenges alone.

I am proud to be part of that mission.
