My name is Ray Walters, and I am a Co-Founder and Chief Information Officer of 4Valor. Much of who I am today was shaped by the fact that I was on my own from an early age. Those experiences taught me resilience, self-reliance, and the importance of perseverance, but they also taught me an even more valuable lesson: none of us succeed alone. Throughout my life and career, I have learned that relationships, mentorship, and community are often the most important factors in achieving meaningful success. The people who invest in us, challenge us, and walk alongside us can make all the difference.
My professional journey has been built around service, leadership, and helping others overcome obstacles. That is one of the reasons the mission of 4Valor is so important to me. I understand that transitioning from military service is about much more than finding a new job. It is about finding purpose, building new connections, and discovering what comes next. I am committed to helping veterans navigate that journey by connecting them with resources, opportunities, and a community that understands the challenges and opportunities that come with creating a new chapter in life.
During my own life transitions, I discovered SCUBA diving, and it became much more than a hobby. It provided challenge, focus, personal growth, and a community of people who shared a common passion. SCUBA reminded me that new missions can be found in unexpected places and that growth often begins when we are willing to step outside of our comfort zones. That lesson continues to guide me today as I work to help veterans find their own path forward and embrace the opportunities that await them.
